This is because urine crystallizes when it dries and these crystals become activated anytime they are heated.
Dogs can smell thousands of times better than we can, so if there is any remaining odor, they may go in that same area again and again.
For this reason, we use commercial-strength deodorizers (eco-friendly and safe options available) and professionally steam clean all areas so they look renewed and beautiful. For your customized treatment, we may also use specialty spotting treatments and in more deep-seated problem areas, we may do a comprehensive and more permanent solution that involves removing the carpet padding under the soiled area and deodorizing and sealing off the affected underlayment and carpet backing. Then we will replace fresh, new carpet padding and reinstall your carpet. We promise it will look good as new!
